Throne And Liberty: Mining Guide

Throne and Liberty: Comprehensive Mining Guide

Throne and Liberty is all about gathering resources to progress faster with your chosen build, and mining is an essential way to obtain valuable materials for crafting equipment, weapons, and gear upgrades. Understanding mining mechanics is crucial for reaching the maximum level in the game. This guide will cover everything you need to know about mining, from gathering ores to identifying various veins and their uses. So grab your pickaxe and let’s dive in!

How to Mine in Throne and Liberty

Mining in Throne and Liberty is straightforward. It involves detecting resources and pressing the ‘Interact Key’ once you find them. Here’s how to effectively locate Ore Veins:

  1. Check the Minimap:
Look at the upper right corner of your screen for small white crystal-shaped icons. These indicate the presence of nearby Ore Veins.
  2. Detection Range:
Ore Veins can be detected within a 100-meter radius. Since they are one-time use only, you’ll need to compete with other players to reach them first—a classic first-come, first-served mechanic.
  3. Procedural Veins:
Unlike many other games, Ore Veins in Throne and Liberty are procedural. They do not respawn in the same spot but will reappear further down the road or up the hill, meaning their locations will vary each time.

Once you spot a Vein, get near and press ‘F’ (PC), ‘Square’ (PS), or ‘X’ (Xbox) to start mining. Your character will channel for a few seconds and extract the ores.

Tip: Ores are automatically added to your inventory upon extraction, so ensure you have enough space, or the excess will be lost.

Types of Veins, Ores, and Weather Effects

Resource nodes like veins vary in type, size, quality, and yield. For example, a regular Moonstone Vein yields a few Pure Manasteel and Pure Gold Ores, while a Gigantic Moonstone Vein provides more and has a chance to drop green or blue materials.

Weather Effects:
The climate can affect the resources granted by nodes, including veins. Mining during rainy weather might yield rare resources like Precious Pure Gold. Enhanced veins often exhibit a glowing or sparkling effect.

Moreover, some veins, like Moonstone, may respond differently to the day-night cycle, which lasts 5 hours in real-time. Players should experiment with mining at different times of day and under various weather conditions for optimal results.

Once mined, materials can be processed at crafters in major cities. The Weapons Crafter can refine lesser materials into higher-quality versions (white to green, green to blue, etc.) at a gold cost and using some base materials. The Accessories Crafter can refine ores like Pure Gold for crafting rings and necklaces.

Tip: Invest in mobility items and level up Ground Morph to reach resource nodes faster and prevent others from ‘stealing’ them.

Gathering Ores and Their Uses

While Ore Veins are the primary source of gathering ores, they are not the only method. Players can also obtain raw materials from:

  • Material Chests
  • Guild Contract Rewards
  • Event Rewards
  • Rare drops from enemies

Ores are essential for crafting various equipment in the game. Manasteel is often used for weapons, while Gold is used for jewelry.

Advice: Don’t hoard too many lower-quality materials unless you aim to complete a specific piece of your ‘Lithography,’ which requires Regular (white) items for collection rewards.

Materials stack up to 99 each, so refine, use, or deposit them in the Warehouse to avoid overcrowding your inventory with mineral chips.

Tip: Scout from high vantage points and morph into your flight form to quickly descend on mining spots, optimizing your farming routes before others notice the veins.

Best Areas for Mining and Special Events

Higher-level areas tend to have richer resources than those near Kastleton. The best places to mine include:

  • Southwest road between Windhil Shores and Nesting Grounds
  • Borders of the Shattered Temple
  • Middle area of the Urstella Fields
  • North Road towards the Fonos Basin
  • Middle area of Black Anvil Forge

These locations have large concentrations of Moonstone and Gigantic Moonstone veins, while Marind veins can be found in advanced areas like Fonos Basin and Black Anvil.

Special Event:
A unique opportunity occurs during the Gigantrite event near the Starlight Observatory Ruins. Players can ride the giant flying whale to access an abundance of Marind veins, which yield green, blue, and purple resources that can sell for significant amounts.

This event occurs every 2 hours, offering 12 chances per day to collect valuable materials. Pay attention to global announcements indicating the Gigantrite’s arrival!

With this mining guide, you’re now equipped to gather the resources needed to thrive in Throne and Liberty. Keep an eye on those crystal icons, and happy mining!
