According to reports, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series in February. The company is expected to unveil three premium smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2023. These include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. We are still months away from launch, but rumors have revealed almost all the major details about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone.
The latest leak comes from Roland Quandt’s tipster, who reveals details on the accessories for the Galaxy S23 series. A tipster has listed the various cases that Samsung will be providing for the Galaxy S23 range. Apart from that, Quandt also revealed the various color options that the accessory will release in different markets
Samsung Galaxy S23 series: accessory details
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will launch with multiple back cover options including leather, silicone, bezel covers, etc. The tipster claims that the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra will be compatible with the leather case that comes in camel, black and green color options.
Samsung will also be releasing a silicone case with a strap for the Galaxy S23 series in black and white color options. There will also be a strapless version that comes in khaki, navy, orange, cotton and purple.
Those who want to show off the design and color of their Galaxy S23 series phones can purchase a transparent cover which will likely be called Ultrafine. Samsung will also be releasing Clear View cases in black, purple, khaki, and beige.
In addition to the above details, the tipster also reveals the Galaxy S23 Ultra Pen will be available in black, green, pink, and beige.
Other details about the Galaxy S23 series have also been leaked. The flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra will sport a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is curved on the sides and has a cutout with a hole in the top center for the front camera, according to design leaks.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also feature a new 200 megapixel sensor in its quad-camera setup, complemented by a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera and two 10 megapixel telephoto sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom respectively. The device packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging and at least 15W wireless charging.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus, on the other hand, will have 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch Full HD+ displays, respectively, with 120Hz refresh rates. They share camera hardware. The device will have three cameras on the back. There will be a 50 megapixel main camera, a 10 megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom and a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera. The device also gets a 32 MP front camera.
The Galaxy S23 is said to have a 3900mAh battery, while the Galaxy S23 Plus will likely have a 4700mAh battery. Both models are said to support 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
All three Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones run the latest One UI 5.0 based on Android 13. They are also powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Samsung could launch S23 series phones with up to 12GB RAM, with the Galaxy S23 5G coming standard with 8GB RAM . It will also get up to 256GB of internal storage, while the other two devices will offer up to 512GB of internal storage.
